Chad Killinger has left ISU, effective immediately, after three seasons with the Sycamores.
During his time in Terre Haute, Killinger earned a 33-60 record for the team.
“We’d like to thank Chad for his contributions to Sycamore Athletics and wish him and his family well moving forward,” ISU Interim Director of Athletics Angie Lansing said in a news release.
The university noted that under Killinger’s leadership, the women’s basketball team was active in the community.
Deidra Johnson will serve as interim head coach while a nationwide search begins for Killinger’s successor. Johnson has spent the past three seasons as associate head coach for the team.
The announcement comes just weeks after ISU men’s basketball head coach Josh Schertz resigned to take the head coaching job at Saint Louis University. The university promoted Matthew Graves to take his place a few days later.
