Godard began his tenure as president in June after serving as provost of Southeast Missouri State University since 2019.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this important milestone for Dr. Godard and Indiana State University,” Bob Casey, chair of the ISU Board of Trustees, said in a news release. “His vision for our institution is already taking shape, and this installation will reinforce his commitment to advancing the university’s mission of educational excellence, public service, and economic growth.”
The ceremony is expected to be attended by the ISU board, faculty, staff, students, community leaders and university representatives from across the country, the university said.
ISU said Godard is expected to outline his strategic priorities—which include increasing student enrollment, expanding workforce development initiatives, and strengthening community partnerships—during his installation address.
“Indiana State University is uniquely positioned to lead on issues that matter most—access and opportunity for our current and future Sycamores, community engagement, and being a solution for the workforce needs and demands for the State of Indiana,” said Godard. “As we look to the future, I am committed to building on our rich legacy while charting new pathways of opportunity for our students, the region, and the state.”
The installation ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. in the Hulman Center on the Terre Haute campus. You can watch a livestream of the event here.
