Through the partnership, ISU’s Scott College of Business is accepting applications for the first professional MBA cohort in the county. Classes will take place once a week at 5:45 p.m. on Thursdays at the Westfield Washington School district’s Central Office and taught by an ISU faculty member.
The MBA program will begin Sept. 7 and run for 21 months. Students would take two courses for each 10-week term.
The program, accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – International, is tailored to what professionals in the area would want in a program, ISU said. The school hopes the leisure of the opportunity is attractive since it’s close to home, accommodating to work and family schedules and has perks like meals on class nights and registration and textbook assistance.
“With the state’s fastest growing cities and many professionals looking to advance their career in Hamilton County, we know that this partnership will be beneficial to our county’s workforce development and economic stability for many years to come,” Lindsay Tomamichel, Director of College, Careers and Strategic Initiatives for Westfield Washington Schools, said in a news release.
An information session will be held at 6 p.m. July 19 at Westfield Washington School district’s Central Office community board room. Those interested can RSVP online.
