Also at the event, Indiana University Center for Global Health Director of Research Dr. Rachel Vreeman was named the inaugural winner of the Global Impression Award, which recognizes emerging leaders for substantial contributions to Indiana’s global profile.
Holcomb is the 32nd recipient of the award, the the center’s board citing his efforts to attract foreign direct investment to the state. The honor, which has been awarded since 1985, recognizes Hoosiers who have contributed to Indiana’s world view in areas including business, culture, education, government, research, sports and community service.
Thursday’s ceremony at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis was emceed by Inside INdiana Business host Gerry Dick.
