She previously served as the vice president for academic services. In January, Bethel University President Gregg Chenoweth announced he was stepping down to take over as president of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Chenoweth served as president since 2013. Bethel says Bellefeuille has nearly 30 years of experience in higher education. Prior to coming to Bethel, she spent 21 years at Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa Falls, Ga., with roles including vice president of academics and professor of teacher education and department chair.
With Bellefeuille’s transition, the university says Bradley Smith has been named vice president for academic services at Bethel. He has been with the school for 27 years.
