Interim director named for soon-to-be-consolidated state office

Subscribe NowAn interim director for the Office of Environmental Adjudication has been named while the office undergoes consolidation with the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings pending upcoming legislation.
Gov. Eric Holcomb selected Jefferson Garn to lead the OEA after Judge Mary Davidsen retires Friday. Garn will have a hand in both offices as he will continue to serve as the OALP deputy director and general counsel.
The state said in a news release that consolidating the two agencies will allow for more administrative efficiencies, modernize case record documentation and provide more resources.
The OEA is an independent agency established to review the actions of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. The OALP gives an independent review of agency disputes for over 24 state agencies.
