(Nasdaq: EVER) has announced plans to add more than 100 jobs in Evansville by the end of 2024. The Massachusetts-based company says it plans to invest more than $1 million to lease and equip a new facility in the city’s downtown. The company says the facility will allow the company to accommodate future growth and expand its customer base.
The expansion comes less than a year after EverQuote announced plans to acquire Crosspointe Insurance & Financial Service.
“We have been thrilled to welcome Crosspointe to EverQuote,” Jayme Mendal, chief executive officer of EverQuote, said in a news release. “Our shared passion for innovation and cultural roots in bootstrapping, heart, tenacity and data-driven optimization have been evident since the acquisition. We’ve been consistently impressed with the caliber of talent in the Indiana market and are confident that deepening our commitment to Indiana will help us achieve our ambitious growth plans for our direct-to-consumer agency business.”
EverQuote has approximately 500 associates in offices in Seattle, Cambridge and Evansville. The company is currently hiring for a variety of positions, including sales advisors, customer service specialists, analysts and engineers.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered EverQuote up to $750,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
