The company, which opened its first hub in Indianapolis earlier this year, says the new location near Dallas will create 500 jobs by 2020.
Infosys says the Texas hub will focus on the telecommunications, retail, and banking sectors. It will be the sixth hub for the company, which has also announced locations in Connecticut, Rhode Island, North Carolina, and Arizona.
"We are excited to announce the expansion of our presence in Texas, which is another important step in our continued investment in driving digital transformation for American businesses," said Pravin Rao, chief operating officer of Infosys. "Digital is rapidly changing every industry, and our Hubs will allow us to co-locate, co-innovate and co-create alongside our clients."
Infosys will Friday break ground on its U.S. Education Center at the site of the former Indianapolis International Airport terminal site. The project, which involves an initial $35 million investment, will also include a 250-person residential facility.
