Carroll, whose background includes experience in talent attraction and development and retention, will succeed Blake Johnson in July.
“It was crucial that the IndyHub Board find a leader who can not only connect with our city’s 20- and 30-somethings but also advance our organization as we strive to make Indy as inclusive and accessible as possible,” said IndyHub Board Chair Sarah Myer. “We are thrilled that Al will be our next leader as we move forward in our next chapter.”
Carroll currently serves as senior account executive at Codelicious in Indianapolis, a software platform that provides computer science curriculum for K-12 educational institutions. In his role, Carroll managed the sales process and worked to develop and maintain relationships with district administrators in the southeast United States.
In addition, IndyHub says Carroll has held various civic roles with organizations such as the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and TechPoint and has partnered with universities throughout the state to recruit college students to live and work in Indianapolis.
“I’m energized by the opportunity to serve my peers in this community I love,” Carroll said. “I’m passionate about the mission of this organization and look forward to expanding on the incredible foundation Blake and the team have set for us.”
Al also serves as a trustee for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Foundation, overseeing financial aspects of the organization and supporting strategic planning.
