Campbell will succeed Carolyn Adams, who stepped in as interim chief financial officer following Ijeoma Dike-Young’s departure last fall.
Campbell will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer Nichelle Hayes and senior leadership to maintain IndyPL’s financial standing.
“Throughout her career, Campbell has displayed her ability to tackle complex financial issues strategically and to be a leader during seasons of growth and change,” said Hayes, who was named interim CEO earlier this year. “Her career path is aligned with our strategic goals, and we are excited to have her join the team and ensure our continued financial wellbeing.”
Campbell joins IndyPL with more than 30 years of experience in accounting and finance. She most recently served as senior financial analyst with the Health & Hospital Corp. of Marion County.
“The Libraries in Marion County are beautiful, and so is the knowledge held inside,” said Campbell. “Education has always been important to me, so the mission and vision of the Library align well with mine. I am excited to jump in and take on this new role.”
Campbell also previously worked as CFO for Indiana Legal Services Inc., where she managed a $10 million budget for the nonprofit.
