The company says Red Technologies is a transportation management solution that connects shippers, carriers, and drivers and provides visibility into supply chain operations.
Spot says the platform incorporates a transportation management system, a carrier portal, and a mobile app for the driver. Red Technologies employs 50 developers at its Indianapolis headquarters, and the company says it plans to continue hiring over the next several years.
“While operating Spot, my business partner Andrew Elsener and I knew that there had to be a better way to use technology versus basic “out-of-the-box” software,” said Andy Schenck, Red Technologies co-founder. “This is how Red Technologies was born in 2015, and we’ve been perfecting the software ever since. Over the course of the past year, we’ve quadrupled the size of our in-house development team, allowing us to further customize the TMS, carrier portal, and mobile app prior to today’s official launch.”
The company says the pandemic has underscored the need for technology to increase efficiencies and streamline communication.
