Indy airport ranks among nation’s best in Travel + Leisure survey

Indianapolis International Airport is once again receiving high marks in Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards.
The Indy airport was ranked second among the travel magazine’s Top 10 Favorite Domestic Airports list, coming in behind only the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
Travel + Leisure curated its 2023 World’s Best Awards through a survey of 165,000 readers asked about their top hotel, airports, airlines and other travel experiences. Participants were asked to evaluate airports for their access, check-in and security, restaurants and bars, shopping and design.
The Indy airport has been recognized on the list eight years in a row, coming in second several times and taking the top spot in 2020. Indianapolis International earned a score of 81.10 — a step up from the airport’s third place ranking last year.
“This type of traveler feedback reinforces that we have the best people and the best airport experience in the world,” Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez said in a news release. “Our commitment to a customer-service driven, people-first culture truly makes the Indy airport a world-class operation.”
