INDOT seeks participants for scholarship program

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Department of Transportation is seeking applicants for its engineering scholarship program, which offers more than $3,000 per semester and priority consideration toward a full-time job upon graduation.
The scholarship program offers $3,125 per semester or $2,083 per trimester for up to five years of education at one of the state’s civil engineering schools accredited by Indiana’s Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, INDOT said in a news release.
Eligible universities include Purdue University, Purdue University Fort Wayne, Purdue University Northwest, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Trine University, University of Evansville, University of Notre Dame, University of Southern Indiana, Indiana State University and Valparaiso University.
Graduate and undergraduate students are invited to apply. Eligibility requirements include being enrolled full time or accepted into an accredited engineering school, having completed at least one year of college or will complete one year by May 2025, and possessing a grade point average of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
Scholarship recipients must agree to work full time for INDOT during summer breaks, and upon graduation, recipients must work one year for each academic year for which they received the scholarship. After graduation, recipients receive priority hiring within the department, INDOT said.
The application deadline for the 2025-26 academic year is Dec. 31. For more information, go to indotscholarship.in.gov.
