She has more than 25 years of experience in science and conservation education. During her career, Kolar has held educational positions at Brookfield Zoo, Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum, the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, and Zoo Atlanta. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters in the Art of Teaching. In addition, she currently serves as a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquarium’s Conservation Education Committee and is an education advisor for both the Asian Hornbill SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) program as well as the Coraciiforms TAG (Taxonomy Advisory Group).
