The utility management services company says it has invested $3 million in the new operation and added a small number of jobs.
GroundBreakers provides hydro-excavation, jetting, CCTV, and private locating services for clients in the construction, utility, oil and gas, telecommunications, environmental, and municipal sectors.
Owner and President Andrea Sloan called the move the “natural next step” for the company and a key part of its growth strategy in the Midwest.
The new Ohio location has seven newly hired employees, bringing the company’s total headcount to more than 60. GroundBreakers also has locations in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.

The company ranked No. 10 on the 2024 list, noting revenue growth of 143.1% from fiscal year 2021 to 2023.
