The nonprofit says it is looking for nominations of “worthy first responders” for its 2021 Hoosier of the Year award, which will be presented at the event.
The foundation says this year’s award will honor Hoosiers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to care for COVID-19 patients.
“The many sacrifices and unselfish care provided by first responders of all types – police officers, fire fighters, EMTs, nurses, doctors, or any other individual with a compelling story of courage – will be honored,” said Julie Griffith, president of ISOC.
The gala event will take place December 4 at the Lowes Hotel in downtown Chicago.
