Indiana Schools Among 2018 ‘Best Colleges’

More than 300 schools are on the 2018 Best Colleges list in the National Universities category. Over 230 have been included in the Liberal Arts Colleges category. Forty-three Indiana colleges and universities appear in some way in the 2018 rankings.
Indiana schools in the National Universities category are: the University of Notre Dame at #18, Purdue University at #56, Indiana University at #90, Ball State University at #187 (tie) and IUPUI at #192 (tie).
The Top 10 National Universities are:

- 5 (tie). Columbia University

Indiana schools in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category are: DePauw University at #53 (tie), Wabash College at #65 (tie), Earlham College at #68 (tie), St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame at #101 (tie), Hanover College #112 (tie) and Franklin College #147 (tie).
The Top 10 National Liberal Arts Colleges are:

Among Regional Universities in the Midwest, Butler University is #2, Valparaiso University is #4, University of Evansville is #9, Indiana Wesleyan University is #29, University of Indianapolis is #34, Anderson University and Bethel College are in a tie for #38, Marian University is in a tie for #47, University of Saint Francis is tied for #75 and Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake is tied for #87.
Among Regional Colleges in the Midwest, Taylor University is #2, Goshen College is #6, Huntington University is #16, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is #22, Trine University is #23, Manchester University is #25 and Oakland City University is tied for #39.
The overall national rankings of Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Holy Cross College, Indiana State University, Indiana University East, Indiana University Kokomo, Indiana University Northwest, IPFW, Indiana University South Bend, Indiana University Southeast, Purdue University Northwest, University of Southern Indiana are all unpublished.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is tied for first in Best Undergraduate Engineering Program Rankings at schools where a doctorate is not offered. It is the 19th year in a row RHIT has been ranked at the top.
