During the three-day trip, members of the delegation also met with businesses in Italy’s "Motor Valley" to promote collaboration with the state’s automotive manufacturing and motorsports industries.
During the trip, delegation members joined Italy-based filter manufacturer Filtrec S.p.A. for its announcement that it will invest $1.3 million into a Daleville operation that could create 25 jobs by 2022. The company plans to double or triple its physical presence in Delaware County within five years.
The delegation visited the Dallara headquarters. The company designs and produces the chassis for the Verizon IndyCar Series and has a facility in Speedway. Other meetings included Valbruna Group, which has an operation in Fort Wayne, OMR, which in 2015 announced a $10 million investment to bring its North American headquarters to Speedway, and Fontana Group, which has a production facility in Frankfort and supports one in Rochester.
The trip marked Holcomb’s seventh economic development trip as governor.
