Indiana National Guard Names New Commander

Headquartered in Terre Haute, the 81st Troop Command features several units: an engineer brigade, a military police company, two medical companies, a public affairs detachment and a response force comprised of soldiers and airmen trained to respond to chemical, biological or nuclear attacks.
"I look forward to leading one of our nation’s most ready and reliable standing state joint task forces for domestic operations and consequence management," Thibodeau said in a news release. "JTF 81 has a legacy of great soldiers that exercise initiative and good judgment to accomplish every mission every time."
