He retired from the Indiana National Guard in 2014 after 28 years of military service, and spent the last two years as senior Army instructor for the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Arsenal Technical High School. Hadley was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1985 and spent the first four years of his career in the active-duty Army stationed at Fort Hood Texas and joined the Indiana National Guard in 1991. He has served three combat tours during his military career and is a graduate of Indiana University.
