Indiana Michigan Power Names President & COO

Thomas succeeds Paul Chodak, who is leaving to executive vice president of utilities with parent company American Electric Power Co. Inc. (NYSE: AEP) at its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. I&M says Thomas will lead the utility’s more than 2,400 employees throughout Indiana and Michigan.
Thomas currently serves as vice president of competitive generation in Ohio and previously served in other various roles within the company.
"Toby has been identified as one of our talented leaders," said Robert Powers, executive vice president and COO of AEP. "His proven leadership skills and extensive experience in a variety of roles in our Generation Business Unit made him an excellent choice to lead Indiana Michigan Power."
AEP says, in his new role, Chodak will have corporate management responsibilities over AEP’s operating companies in 11 states. Additionally, Powers has been appointed vice chairman of AEP.
