The Digital Health Most Wired Survey evaluates health care providers on the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in their operations.
The hospitals are assessed on a variety of categories, including IT infrastructure, analytics and data management, patient engagement, clinical quality and safety, and innovation.
The Indiana hospitals represented on this year’s list are:
- Community Health Network – Indianapolis
- Henry Community Health – New Castle
- Indiana University Health – Indianapolis
- Parkview Health – Fort Wayne
- Reid Health – Richmond
- Deaconess Health System – Evansville
- Franciscan Health – Mishawaka
- Rush Memorial Hospital – Rushville
- Hancock Health – Greenfield
CHIME recognizes both Acute Recognized Organizations and Ambulatory Recognized Organizations. The Indiana hospitals were included on both lists, except for IU Health and Franciscan Health, which did not make the Ambulatory list.
“Technology is an integral part of providing high-quality care, excellent patient experiences and a great value,” said Ron Double, chief information officer at Parkview Health, which made the list for the 11th consecutive year. “By effectively utilizing the tools at our disposal—from patient portals to smart equipment to analytical and predictive models and more—Parkview is able to leverage the power of technology and data to increase efficiency, improve quality and provide robust security.”
