The Indiana Health Information Exchange has named Valita Fredland vice president, general counsel and privacy officer. She previously served as chief privacy and counsel at IU Health and senior affiliate faculty member with the Charles Warren Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics. Fredland is a member of the board of the Indiana Security and Privacy Network, Indiana and New York State Bar associations and adjunct faculty member at IUPUI. She received her undergraduate degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College, a law degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree in clinical bio-medical ethics from the University of Virginia.
