A national website focusing on quality-of-life data has ranked three Indiana cities in the top 10 for lowest cost of living in the nation. The Niche.com list is based on metrics including home value, property taxes, rent and gas prices.

The full list of factors is: Home Value to Income Ratio, Median Effective Property Tax, Median Home Value, Median Rent,  Monthly Housing Cost to Income Ratio, CPI Gas Index, CPI Grocery Index and Rent to Income Ratio. The numbers come from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The top cities in Indiana are Fort Wayne and Evansville, number one and two in the country, respectively, sixth-ranked South Bend and #24 in the country Indianapolis.
