In Fort Wayne, an upcoming event will give shoppers the chance to shop local.
The Indiana Artisan Holiday Marketplace will feature gifts and decor from artists, fine crafters and small-batch food and beverage makers. Visitors can connect with vendors from across the state and find everything from handmade caramels to watercolor art.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 22-23 in the GE Club at Electric Works, an entertainment and commercial district on the site of the former General Electric campus. The district has become a cultural hub in Fort Wayne.
“It’s uncommon for a venue to be as special as the show, but that’s true here,” said Indiana Artisan Executive Director Rosalyn Demaree. “We are thrilled to be able to use a building steeped as deeply in Indiana history as are many of the traditional arts that Indiana Artisan members create today.”
Food artisans will offer samples, while others will demonstrate their creative process.
Admission is $8 per person, but children 14 and younger can get in free.
