The company says it will invest nearly $5 million to expand its headquarters and create up to 14 jobs.
IBC Coatings produces advanced surface treatments for "applications requiring significant wear and corrosion resistance," according to the Boone County Economic Development Corp. The company says the investment will support a new production line.
"The 19,000 square foot addition will allow IBC to expand our manufacturing capabilities to accommodate new, long-term contracts awarded by the Department of Defense," said Solomon Berman, president of IBC Coatings. "We are excited to partner on this opportunity with the Boone EDC and the City of Lebanon on the next step in our commitment to growing in Boone County and the State of Indiana."
In late December, the DOD awarded a more than $16 million contract to sister company IBC Materials and Technologies Inc. for the production of components for a missile launcher system found on various military fighter planes.
IBC Coatings has been headquartered in Lebanon since 1996.
