Subscribe NowForbes is out with its 2024 ranking of “America’s Best Employers for Women,” and six Indiana-based companies made the list. The ranking is based primarily on surveys of more than 150,000 women working at companies with at least 1,000 employees in the United States.
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile the list that features 600 employers.
Survey respondents were asked how likely they were to recommend their current—and previous—employers, and if they’d recommend any employers they knew through their industry or through family and friends who work there.
The participants were also asked to rate their current employers in such areas as working environment, pay equity, parental leave, and the company’s handling of incidents related to sexual misconduct and discrimination.
Columbus-based Cummins Inc. is the highest-rated Indiana company at No. 19. It is also the only Indiana representative in the top 100.
