The virtual event brings together coders, designers, and entrepreneurs to help develop solutions to local challenges.
The challenge, which is expected to feature 14 challenges through a virtual platform, is set to be held Friday and Saturday.
“The City of Sullivan is grateful and excited that we were selected to partake in this innovative event. We are always actively looking for creative solutions and opportunities, and this will certainly provide additional means to continue accomplishing projects in Sullivan,” states Mayor Clint Lamb.
Sullivan says it will focus on neighborhood revitalization, an initiative it has been actively pursuing. The goal is to make the city a place to live, work and play for all.
Participants will select a challenge and work with a team or individually on designing a solution. After an 18-hour design time, the city says participants will present their solutions. The event includes $5,000 in prizes as well as other prizes and giveaways.
