Senior1Care this month opened a new office in Angola amid what it says is an increasing demand for senior care services in the region.
The new facility is located at 909 W. Maumee Street in Angola. Nearly 20 jobs were created as a result, and a spokesperson for the agency told Inside INdiana Business that it is currently hiring for more caregivers.
“The workforce number will continue to grow with the number of clients that we eventually serve,” the spokesperson said in an email to IIB. “There is a growing need of senior services, and this location enables Senior1Care the ability to serve more families looking to offer independence and companionship to their loved ones.”
Senior1Care did not disclose its financial investment in the new office.
The Angola office will be led by Brooke Peters, who came to the agency after serving as executive director of Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne. In her new role, Peters will be responsible for business development in the northern territory, the agency said.
Senior1Care currently has facilities in Fort Wayne, Elkhart, South Bend and Carmel. Jane Francis, executive director of the Fort Wayne office said the agency has grown rapidly in the Angola area largely due to word of mouth.
“Our new location will allow us to raise the bar even higher, with a dedicated staff that ensures that we can deliver world-class service to our clients, and full operational support for our many caregivers,” Francis said in a news release.
Senior1Care was founded in 2006 and specializes in non-medical services for seniors.
