Holy Cross College Appoints VP of Finance

She will be chief financial officer of the college, and she brings more than 10 years of experience in program management, design, finance and assessment to her new position.
Markovich previously served as analyst for the Office of the Executive Vice President for three years at the University of Notre Dame.
When she begins her term on January 1, she will oversee all financial operations of the college, including strategic planning and budgeting and will report directly to the president of the college.
A native of South Bend, she received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and earned her Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in financial management from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Following graduation, Markovich worked for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, advancing from program manager to director of policy and programs for Adult, Career and Technical Education during her five years there. In that position, she managed a $25 million budget, a significant portion of which involved federal and state grants. When Markovich transitioned to her role at the University of Notre Dame, she oversaw a variety of special projects, as well as conducted extensive analysis and drafted reports on strategic university issues.
She is a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where she is a lector and sits on the Parish Finance Council.
