Holiday World retires longtime attraction

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari has closed one of its popular attractions. The amusement park in Santa Claus, Indiana said on social media last week it has officially retired its Raging Rapids ride after 33 years.
A specific reason for ending the attraction was not given. A spokesperson for Holiday World did not respond to a request for more information from Inside INdiana Business.
“We know this attraction means a lot to our guests, and it does to us too,” Holiday World said in its post. “While this may feel like an ending, it’s just the beginning. We intend to return the sound of laughter to Boulder Canyon as soon as we possibly can.”
The announcement came just one month after Holiday World opened for its 2023 season.
The amusement park did not provide any additional details on its future plans.
