Holcomb to present Sachem Award

Albert Chen, founder of Telamon Corp., will receive the Sachem Award in a ceremony at the Tarkington at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel.
Holcomb announced Chen as the recipient of the award earlier this month.
Chen, 80, immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan in 1968 to study mathematical sciences and eventually go on to found his own company, Telamon, in 1985.
Telamon now has 14 U.S. locations, three international offices and more than 2,000 employees. Chen was succeeded by his son, Stanley Chen, when he retired in 2015.
The Sachem Award is presented annually to Hoosier leaders who set moral examples.
