Holcomb Set For ‘Next Level’ State of The State

Subscribe NowGovernor Eric Holcomb will tonight shine a spotlight on his Next Level Agenda in his annual State of the State Address at the Statehouse. Holcomb is expected to detail plans in areas including infrastructure, education and the drug epidemic. During an interview with Inside INdiana Business Reporter Mary-Rachel Redman, WIBC Statehouse Bureau Chief Eric Berman said the address could include some surprises as well.
The address is set for 7:00 this evening.
Holcomb unveiled his Next Level Agenda in December, with five pillars: cultivating a strong and diverse economy, maintaining and building the state’s infrastructure, developing a 21st Century skilled and ready workforce, addressing public health and the drug epidemic and delivering great public service.
Again this year, House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) has invited community leaders to sit in "Tweet Seats" and cover the address. This year’s contributors include 2019 Indiana Teacher of the Year Tamara Markey (@MarkeyTamara), Indiana Division of The Salvation Army Divisional Social Services Director Susan Solomon (@SAIndiana), AIM Municipal Innovations Specialist Chelsea Schneider (@AimIndiana) and State Board of Education member and Noble Education Initiative Director of Educator Development and Partnerships Dr. Byron Ernest (@ByronErnest).
