Holcomb makes new appointments to state boards

They include the Commission for Higher Education, Indiana Destination Development Corp., and the Worker’s Compensation Board.
His appointments include:
Commission for Higher Education
The governor made on new appointment, who will serve until June 30, 2025:
- Chad Lochmiller of Bloomington is an associate professor and chair of the department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at IU Bloomington.
FIRSST Task Force
The governor appointed six people to this new task force. They will serve until the task force sunsets on June 30, 2024:
- Hue Andrews of Noblesville, representing the Indiana Motor Truck Association
- Mayor Ryan Daniel of Columbia City, representing Accelerate Indiana Municipalities
- Commissioner John Frey of Crawfordsville, representing the Association of Indiana Counties
- David Heyde of Rochester, representing the Build Indiana Council
- Commissioner Mike Smith of Greenwood, representing INDOT
- Paul Peaper of Indianapolis, representing taxpayers
Indiana Destination Development Corporation Board
The governor made two reappointments, who will serve until June 30, 2027:
- Indiana Fever President and COO Allison Barber of Indianapolis
- Cook Group Board Chairman Stephen Ferguson of Bloomington
The governor also made a new appointment who will serve until June 30, 2027:
- Visit Hendricks County CEO Jaime Bohler-Smith of Danville
State Board of Education
The governor reappointed two board members who will serve until June 30, 2027:
- Purdue Polytechnic High Schools Executive Director Scott Bess of Danville
- Columbia City High School teacher Kristin Rentschler of Columbia City
Unemployment Insurance Review Board
The governor made one reappointment to the full-time board:
- Heather Cummings of Indianapolis will serve until June 30, 2026
Worker’s Compensation Board
The governor made five reappointments to the part-time board:
- Linda Hamilton of Fort Wayne will serve until August 31, 2027
- Sandra O’Brien of Valparaiso will serve until August 31, 2027
- Diane Parsons of Indianapolis will serve until August 31, 2026
- Kyle Samons of Greenville will serve until August 31, 2026
- James Sarkisian of Valparaiso will serve until August 31, 2026
