Today, Westfield-based safety products company IMMI does business around the globe and boasts a work force of more than 1,400. And that number is about to get larger. "As we grow, we need talent, we need people to accomplish what we’re trying to do," said Chief Executive Officer Larry Gray, during an interview on Inside INdiana Business Television. Gray says the company is looking for 55 new employees at its Westfield headquarters, covering a range of needs.
IMMI designs, engineers, tests and manufactures safety products for school buses, fire trucks, military vehicles and construction equipment, to name just a few. The company’s sprawling Hamilton County campus includes a world class crash lab for large vehicles, including trucks and buses.
Gray says IMMI is seeing increased demand in multiple segments of its business, in particular its SafeGuard seat belts, the first lap-shoulder belts for school buses.
In addition to its corporate headquarters in Westfield, IMMI operates in China, Italy, Mexico, Slovakia and the United Kingdom.
