Hiring Events Include NSWC Crane & INDOT

But the missions could not be further apart as one works in national security and the other on highway safety.
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division is hosting its second annual virtual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Career Fair. The military research installation is looking for candidates with a variety of skill, including interns, entry-level and seasoned employees in STEM fields.
“This is our second year holding our annual career fair virtually,” said NSWC Crane Recruiter Therron Thomas. “NSWC Crane needs the top STEM talent to meet the mission of supporting the warfighter, and top talent exists all over the country.”
NSWC Crane is specifically seeking electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer scientists.
The virtual event is Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Department of Transportation is Thursday hosting a statewide hiring event for the winter season. Two of the events are being held in northern Indiana from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Winter seasonal employment runs from November through March at a starting pay of $20 per hour. INDOT offers $250 sign-on and $500 retention bonuses for eligible candidates. Candidates must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
The hiring events will take place at the following locations:
- Gary Sub District: 7601 Melton Road in Gary
- Plymouth Sub District: 2845 Jack Greenlee Drive in Plymouth.
