Herb Simon to Own Soccer Team

Simon is also managing partner of the Reno Aces baseball team of the Pacific Coast League. He additionally serves on that league’s board of directors. Eric Edelstein, who is president of the Reno Aces, will serve in the same role for the United Soccer League team.
The team, which will be named as part of a fan contest, will play in the $50 million Aces Ballpark that opened in 2009. The stadium has fan capacity of more than 9,000.
The Reno franchise marks the 28th team in the United Soccer League. The league played with 24 clubs in the 2015 season, and recently announced the additions of Lehigh Valley, Rio Grande Valley FC and FC Cincinnati for next season.
