Haynes International CEO to Retire

Subscribe NowThe chief executive officer of Kokomo-based Haynes International Inc. has announced plans to retire. Mark Comerford, who has served in the role for nearly 10 years, will remain with the company as an advisor through September 30.
Michael Shor, chairman of the board for Haynes, will serve as interim president and CEO until a permanent successor to Comerford is named. The company says Comerford will assist Shor during the transition period.
"The Board would like to express its appreciation to Mr. Comerford for his leadership while at Haynes," Shor said in a news release. "We look forward to continuing to strengthen the Company and its operations as we undertake a comprehensive search for a new CEO."
Shor has been a member of the Haynes International Board of Directors since 2012. He previously served as executive vice president of Carpenter Technology Corp. in Philadelphia.
