The Daily Reporter says the commercial real estate developer is looking to grow its 70/Connect Park.
The publication says during a recent county budget committee meeting, a representative from Lauth said the company wants to develop a 1 million square foot building. Previous plans called for several smaller structures. While the developer did not disclose which company might be seeking a site that size, Lauth did say it could be a $53 million project and create about 580 jobs.
The publication says Lauth recently completed a 282,000-square-foot building that is occupied by plastic containers firm IFO. The developer is also building a 200,000-square-foot warehouse for True Brands, a beverage accessory company.
The publication says a third speculative building is also under construction.
“Really over the next five to seven years this whole series of buildings — this entire project — should be built out, depending on a lot of factors, as we all know,” said Brady Jacoba, vice president of business development for Lauth Group.
The Daily Reporter says another commercial real estate developer is also looking to launch a logistics complex in western Hancock Count. Click here to read the full story.
