A groundbreaking for the IU Medical School’s downtown Evansville campus will be held Friday. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will join special guests including Indiana University President Michael McRobbie, University of Southern Indiana President Linda Bennett and University of Evansville Dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences Mary Kessler for the event.

The event starts at 10:00 a.m. at the Evansville Multi-Institutional Academic Health Science and Research Center site on Walnut Street and S.E. 6th Street. The public is invited to attend.
