Grote honored with Manufacturers Association excellence award

The company will be honored at the organization’s Hall of Fame Luncheon Oct. 18 at the Biltwell Event Center in Indianapolis.
Grote is a manufacturer of visibility and safety systems for roads and highways including vehicle lighting, electrical and reflective systems and accessories. The more than 120-year-old business employs over 1,600 across the world and is family-owned.
“I’m proud of our team at Grote for the work they do every day to innovate and grow. We are honored to be recognized among such an esteemed group of Indiana manufacturers,” Grote Industries COO John Grote said in a news release. “As a company founded in 1901, the same year as the IMA, we are well-positioned for our future as a vital, family-owned company based in Indiana.”
The luncheon will celebrate the local industry’s achievements and “honor the commitment toward innovative thinking, community involvement and leadership.” Gov. Eric Holcomb will be the keynote speaker.
The event will hand out numerous other awards including the Community Impact Award, Emerging Leader Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and manufacturing Talent Champion. Ten companies will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
