HelloFrom says it is attempting to disrupt the greeting card industry by taking the stress out of sending a card.
The company was launched last year by chief executive officer Ryan Biggs.
HelloFrom helps remind customers about important occasions that warrant sending a greeting card, but it removes some of the work for the sender. The service allows the user to view several cards. Once selected, HelloFrom physically sends the customer the card, an envelope, a stamp and a brief suggestion of what to write on the card.
“The team at HelloFrom has a big vision to disrupt a low-tech market of greeting cards,” said Nicholas Kuhn, Elevate Ventures’ entrepreneur-in-residence serving Startup South Bend-Elkhart, a partnership focused on startups in north-central Indiana. “Several companies have attempted automated services, but can’t replace handwritten notes, and HelloFrom seeks to step into that gap by making the process simple and the connections more personal.”
HelloFrom says it plans to use the funding to add customers and prepare for larger investment rounds. In 2021, the company received a $20,000 investment from Elevate’s Community Ideation Fund.
