Mayor Mark Myers says the collaboration with INBiz is a symbol of the “south side’s resurgence with Greenwood leading the way.”
Myers made the announcement during his State of the City address, saying Greenwood is the first municipality in the state to partner with INBiz. The Indiana Secretary of State’s office launched the portal in 2016, which creates a one-stop shop for business registration processes, including registration, filing, reporting and making payments.
Greenwood Redevelopment Commission President Brent Tilson, also a local business owner, helped establish the collaboration.
"The process of starting and managing your business has been very cumbersome and sometimes overwhelming," Tilson said in a news release. "In today’s world, businesses are forming at a quick pace, and it’s imperative for Indiana to keep up and encourage that growth. The INBiz portal indicates that Indiana is investing in the resources needed in order to help foster business in our state.”
Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Christian Maslowski says the INBiz partnership speaks to the city’s welcome climate for business.
