Glassdoor Lists Top Places to Work, Including Indiana Firms

Subscribe NowJob search website Glassdoor has released its list of the top 100 Best Places to Work in 2020 and one Indiana-based company is on the list. At least three other companies with substantial footprints in Indiana are also included.
The award is based on employee feedback and the comments are anonymous.
The highest-ranked Indiana-based company is Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI). Despite a recent announcement of a major layoff, the Columbus-based company enters the list at No. 46.
“Great benefits, great work culture, and the work/life balance are good,” said one person is an unidentified post on the Glassdoor website.
Last month, the powertrain manufacturer announced it was laying off 2,000 employees worldwide in a cost-cutting move.
Efforts to reduce discretionary spending, optimize optimization and encourage voluntary attrition through retirements were apparently not enough to compensate for the downturn.
“Demand has deteriorated even faster than expected, and we need to adjust to reduce costs,” said the company in a statement in November.
Salesforce is ranked at No. 34. While the company has a substantial in Indianapolis due to its purchase of ExactTarget, the global headquarters are in California.
Chicago area-based Crowe Inc. is ranked at No. 52. The company was started in South Bend and still has a significant presence in northern Indiana. The company also has two offices in Indianapolis.
Senior living company Trilogy Health Services comes in at No. 82. While based in Louisville, the company has 64 senior citizen communities throughout Indiana.
