The location will be used to boost the company’s cGMP lentiviral and retroviral vector production.
Genezen first announced plans for the more than 75,000-square-foot facility last November. The project is expected to create more than 60 jobs by the end of 2023.
In a November interview with Inside INdiana Business, Genezen CEO Ray Kaczmarek said central Indiana is an ideal location for his company’s growth.
“We feel that Indiana and specifically Indianapolis being more centralized, a lot of our clientele can come to Indiana, specifically through the airport pieces from the coasts and get to our facility relatively quickly,” said Kaczmarek. “The cost of the manufacturing here will less than if I were on the East Coast or the West Coast and the ability to attract talent in Indiana is very high.”
Governor Eric Holcomb and Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
