If you ask any Gen Con attendee what the second most important thing is this week their answer will more than likely be coffee. 

Located directly across the street from the Convention Center, Bee Coffee Roasters has been open around the clock since Thursday, taking advantage of the more than 60,000 people in downtown Indianapolis celebrating the 50th anniversary of Gen Con.

"Gamers have to get their caffeine fix," said Bee Coffee Roasters President BJ Davis. "This is our largest grossing event every year."

Davis says the four day convention is responsible for about 25 percent of Bee Coffee Roasters’ income for the entire year at its downtown location, adding Gen Con 50 is already showing record profits.

"Every year we look at a 10 percent increase in business, and that’s what we plan for. This year we’re on track to do about a 30 percent increase."

Bee Coffee Roasters has two Indianapolis locations. The Roastery is located on Indy’s Northwest side, with its second cafe located downtown on the first floor of the Pan Am building.
