The positions, ranging from entry to senior levels, are part of the insurance company’s $16 million expansion announced in February, which included a new IT division.
The company is looking for software engineers, IT architects and analysts for the center, which it says seeks to "develop innovative methods to better serve customers." The GEICO website says it is hiring for the positions through the end of 2019.
"We are excited about building a strong team that will play an essential role in helping GEICO create state-of-the-art cloud software applications," said Katie Sauls, director of IT for GEICO Indianapolis. "We are looking to hire those who can unleash creative ways to use tomorrow’s technology to lead the way to better customer interaction."
GEICO’s central Indiana expansion, the company said earlier this year, will ultimately create nearly 1,500 jobs by 2022 in IT, customer service, and claims handling. The company established its Carmel operations in 2013 and currently employs around 1,200 workers.
