Muncie’s TechWise Academy is partnering on the Roblox Training Camp, which co-founder Brandon Coppernoll says will spark interest in computer science among students.
Roblox is a game creation platform allowing users to develop, create and play games in immersive 3D environments. Joshua D, known as "Belzebass" on Roblox, will take part in the program. The 20-year-old northwest Indiana native designed the Roblox game "Vehicle Simulator," which has been played more than 114 million times over the past year on the platform. Nate Spell from Muncie, who publishes a Roblox user magazine, will also be part of the event.
The event is being offered through TechWise Academy and the Coding Connector, which provides coding courses for K-12 students.
The all-day course will be at the Innovation Connector in Muncie on Saturday, February 17th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. You can find more information on the event by clicking here.
