FCI will lease a more than 250,000 square-foot facility at the AllPoints at Anson industrial park, bringing more than 100 jobs to the area.
The building is being developed by Browning/Duke LLC, a joint venture between Browning Investments and Duke Realty Corp. (NYSE: DRE). It will include office, sales, warehouse, manufacturing and research and development spaces, as well as a showroom for the company.
"This build-to-suit warehouse will provide the space we need to accommodate our continued growth plus enable us to improve the efficiency of our operations in Indiana," said Ken Weaver, chief executive officer of Facilities Concepts. "We appreciate the benefits of locating in a master-planned park with architectural standards and amenities such as walking paths for our employees."
Construction on the building is expected to begin in June and be complete by the end of November. FCI currently has two locations in Indianapolis and one manufacturing facility in Peru.
The Whitestown Town Council has approved a 10-year, $1.1 million tax abatement for the project. According to council documents, the building will be owned by Browning/Duke, who will lease it to FCI. Browning/Duke says, if the abatement had not been approved, the facility would not have been built.
FCI designs and manufactures commercial furniture for the education, entertainment, food service, hospitality and retail industries.
