Franklin Electric acquires Florida manufacturer

A subsidiary of Fort Wayne-based Franklin Electric Co. Inc. has acquired a manufacturer based in Cape Coral, Florida. Financial terms of Franklin Water Treatment LLC’s purchase of Action Manufacturing & Supply Inc. are not being disclosed.
Action is a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of residential water conditioning, filtration, and indoor and outdoor aeration systems. The company has three locations in Florida and one in North Carolina.
“We are excited to incorporate the business of Action Manufacturing & Supply into our existing business as we continue to strengthen and expand our channels and products in key geographic areas for water treatment,” Franklin Water Treatment President Don Line said in a news release. “Action’s commitment to quality and reputation for service excellence aligns with Franklin’s customer-driven approach to our businesses.”
It was not specified if any jobs would be affected by the deal. Multiple requests for more information from Inside INdiana Business were not returned.
Franklin Electric said the operating results of the acquired business will be reported in its Water Systems business segment.
